Movies Around The World – Kids Editions

Movies Around The World – Kids Editions toke place on Sundays 24 and 30 May 2015 , The festival Du Film Merveilleux & Imaginaire travel to the heart of Kensington in London.

The festival offer to the children a re-programming of our best short films to the cinema Lumière of the French cultural institute of London. The Institut français is the French Agency of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs in charge of promoting French culture overseas and international cultural exchanges.

ABOUT : ” Founded in 1910, the Institut français du Royaume-Uni comprises a language centre, a cinema (Ciné Lumière and Ciné Lumière II), a multi-media library (La Médiathèque), a children’s library (Bibliothèque Quentin Blake) and a café-restaurant, Café Tangerine, and welcomes 200,000 people each year. Ciné Lumière has established itself as one of London’s best independent cinemas.. With a particular emphasis on French, European and World cinema, its programme combines new releases, repertory screenings, previews and exclusive on-stage events attended by directors and actors. Building upon the success of Ciné Lumière, the Institut français opened a second screen in 2019, Ciné Lumière II, to further expand its programme.”

Imaginarium Directed by Pedro Resende, Helene Comeositos, Carlos Quesada

Synospis : It’s a STORY about… IMAGINATION & CREATIVITY ! In the middle of a class, a boy shares a drawing with his desk mate, a girl. That will make them escape to an imaginarium world that will be an adventure of their own! But they get into trouble with their teacher and this is the moment where we will see how powerful creativity can be!
